Francesca joined The SHM Foundation in 2018 and is currently working on Project Ember, the Foundation’s mental health innovation incubator developed with MHIN. Her activities are mainly focused on enhancing communication and fundraising strategies of grass-roots innovators to support them to grow and thrive in low- and middle-income countries, such as Guatemala (Buena Semilla) and South Africa (Phola).
Francesca has extensive experience in communication, design and marketing for public and private institutions, including the United Nations and top-ranked international companies. Before The SHM Foundation, she was a Project Manager in a PR and Events Agency where she designed and led projects for art foundations, corporates, public administrations, festivals of art and music. In 2018, she developed the pilot of a no-profit initiative aiming to promote the social inclusion of children and adolescents living in suburbs, through their involvement in dance classes.
Francesca has a Master's in Anthropology from the University of Bologna and attended courses of Human and Social Studies at Université Paris 8.
